Protect Children
Work proactively with schools to insure all kids are safe while they learn; work to insure children receive adequate child support; promote school attendance through truancy prevention programs; develop and implement strategies to reduce gang involvement and drug & alcohol use by our youth.

Protect Neighborhoods
Prioritize resources and develop policies to insure violent crimes are aggressively prosecuted. Work closely with law enforcement to develop protocols ensuring that offenders are held accountable for their crimes.

Protect Tax Payers & Reduce Bureaucracy, Particularly for Crime Victims
Think smart. Work hard. Increase resources by developing coalitions with other agencies and community resources to target specific problems in a coordinated way. Streamline the process for domestic abuse victims to avoid duplication of services and resources on support & prosecution efforts. Promote programs such as substance abuse court that provide accountability and reduce recidivism.

Pete's career highlights as a trial attorney include:
Prosecuted the first state clandestine methamphetamine laboratory case
Prosecuted the first gang racketeering case in the state
Prosecuted Minnesota's first three-defendant joint first degree murder case
Tried over two hundred cases to twelve person juries, including two cases tried simultaneously in two courtrooms
Co-prosecuted a thirty-two defendant prison gang case involving charges of gang crimes, attempted murder and racketeering
Briefed and successfully argued over a dozen criminal appeals before the Minnesota Court of Appeals
